The Benefits of Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is a great way to improve the look and feel of your skin without the need for highly invasive surgery. Other benefits of this innovative skin rejuvenation treatment include:
- The reduction of pigmentation and fine lines
- Improvement in skin tone and texture
- Stimulates collagen production for long-lasting results
- Minimal recovery period
You can expect some redness to occur after the treatment is over, but it will reside quickly. Afterward, you’ll have noticeably smoother and more beautiful skin.
Contour TRL™
The Contour Tunable Resurfacing Laser (TRL) allows for customized laser peeling of dead and damaged skin layers. Because it can be tuned so specifically to various depths, it can achieve a gentler NanoPeel all the way to full-field resurfacing to resolve deep wrinkles and folds. It can address pigmented lesions, scars, wrinkles of all depths, texture issues, and sagging skin.
HALO™ – Hybrid Fractional Laser
This laser technology offers non-ablative and ablative laser wavelengths, allowing for greater control of the treatment and customized results. This makes the recovery process quicker and easier.
The laser’s heat can vaporize sections of skin tissue, making way for fresh new skin. It can also encourage collagen and elastin growth. Conditions addressed include scars, age lines, oversized pores, looseness, and types of discoloration. It is ideal for all skin types.
Forever Young BBL™
This light therapy technology addresses acne, age spots, tiny blood vessels, excess hair, redness, rough texture, and freckles. It switches off the expression of genes related to the aging process.
Are You A Candidate for Laser Skin Resurfacing?
To find out if you’d make a good candidate for this procedure, it’s best to schedule a consultation with a trained board-certified facial plastic surgeon such as Dr. Babar Sultan to learn the details you need to fully understand the procedural process and the possible results you can expect from the treatment.
During your consultation, we will be able to discuss your needs and goals, as well as develop a treatment plan to satisfy your specific needs. We will also go over your medical history to determine any underlying risks that may be involved in your procedure. Once you are considered a good candidate for the procedure, Dr. Sultan will decide on the best method of treating your specific skin concerns.
Preparing for Laser Skin Resurfacing
If you decide to undergo a skin resurfacing treatment, you will need to follow a few rules for a couple of weeks before and after the procedure to ensure optimal results. You will have to stop taking certain medications and/or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E, as these can affect clotting. You will also need to stop smoking as it can increase the time it takes for you to heal properly.
